Electronic devices, internet usage and social networks generate an enormous amount of data on a daily basis. To store this data, huge server farms are needed, constantly refrigerated to maintain optimal operating conditions. These farms are starting to be installed in the coldest points of the Earth to take advantage of the climatic conditions of the environment and save energy resources. How does this affect the environment where they are located?
The installation visually materializes this digital content and represents it through a block of ice that melts according to the number of “Tweets” published mentioning the “Climate Change” tag.
