In the 1920s, the Striegistal region was marked by a strong mining industry. For its development and transformation, electricity was one of the fundamental pillars, which prompted the construction of infrastructures such as the Etzdorf electrical substation.

Trace is an immersive experience that reactivates the latent and collective memory of this industrial space. Installed in the former engine room, the project reimagines, through projections, reflections, light and sound, the now invisible traces of the energy that once coursed through its interior. A reanimated trace that transforms the residual into presence.

Trace invites people to walk through the echo of an infrastructure that no longer transmits current, but today re-emerges as a cultural space and creative laboratory, opening a new technological gaze towards the present and the future of the place.
